We are proud of our school and look forward to showing you what we have to offer. If your child is due to start school in September 2021 please get in touch. Due to increasing restrictions in response to the transmission of COVID-19, we are no longer able to arrange physical visits to the site. We have alternative arrangements in place and have produced a short video which we hope gives you a flavour of the school. Applications for school places are made through Essex Admissions.

A warm welcome to Langham Primary School.
If you don't know us very well yet, we are a small primary school with big ambitions. We value every child who comes to our school and are determined to unlock their potential and enable them to discover their talents. Please take a look around and find out more about us.
Langham Primary is a village school on the outskirts of Colchester. As well as serving local families, a significant proportion of our children make the short journey from the north east outskirts of the town. Our proximity to Colchester gives us the best of both worlds; a 'small village school' feel with many people commenting on a 'family atmosphere', as well as the wider perspective provided by serving families on the edge of town.
Our ambition for children who come to our school extends beyond making sure they achieve well in the National Curriculum. We recognise the crucial importance of these first seven years of education and want to make sure pupils have rich and varied experiences that secure a great foundation for their future.
Thank you for visiting.
Andrew MacDonald (Headteacher)
Our school logo represents the Discovery apple variety was first propagated here in the village in the 1950s. We still have Discovery apples growing on site and we use the name to summarise our aims.

We had a very successful inspection on 20th March 2018. Our inspector recognised the 'positive culture' of our school where 'every child at the school matters'. 'Excellent teaching in all classes' means that 'lessons are often inspiring and engaging'. You can download a copy of the letter in full by following the link below.
