The whole school has now completed their 'Take One Picture' project and all artwork has now been submitted to the National Gallery. All the class projects are on display in the school's gallery. Please come and take a look at all our hard work!
The whole school took part in an assembly to introduce the Take One Picture competition. This year, we are looking at the picture 'Men of the Docks' by George Bellows. Class 3 went back to class after the assembly to mind map ideas linked to the picture before creating an initial response.
On the 3rd April, we had a music assembly to celebrate all the hard work and practice children (and staff) have been putting in at home in order to play an instrument. We had piano, violin, clarinet and singing performances. Everyone was very nervous to begin with, but the audience soon put them at ease. After the assembly everyone was very proud of their performance!
Working in partnership with the Pimlott Foundation, children in Years 3 and 4 were lucky enough to listen to a professional cellist play various styles of music. They were encouraged to respond to the mood and tempo of what they heard in drawing and painting.
